The Regional Institute for Population Studies (RIPS) at the University of Ghana, Legon, a Recognized Global Centre of Excellence in Demography, Population Health, and Population and Environment, is looking for suitable candidates to fill research positions in the following categories: Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor.


  1. Minimum PhD or Doctor of Science (DSc) from globally recognized universities in a relevant field.
  2. For Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor positions candidate must demonstrate relevant years of graduate teaching preferably four years minimum, extensive research and publishing, as well as proof of large research grants.
  3. Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor position with proof of graduate level thesis / dissertation supervision will be an advantage.
  4. For Research Fellow position candidate must demonstrate potential for publishing in high impact-factor journals
  5. Candidate must be Ghanaian by birth, either resident or non-resident.
  6. Demonstrable inter / trans- disciplinary research and policy experience including ability to network outside academia.
